His newest movie 'La Sconosciuta' is going to be the Italian nominee at the Awards this year. After almost 7 years away from the screens, Giuseppe Tornatore, the famous Academy Award winner Italian movie-maker, is set to bid for his second Oscar. His last movie was 2000’s ‘Malena’, with Monica Bellucci. Tornatore won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1990 with his ‘Nuovo Cinema Paradiso’, that earlier this year it was mentioned in a British survey as “the best foreign film of all time”.
