Lorenzo Licitra, on Tour in the United States
After the success of October 26th, which saw Lorenzo Licitra performing in his hometown, Ragusa, the young tenor will be back on stage in the United States with his singing performance.
On Saturday 8th November he will be at St. John's University in New York and on Sunday 9th to the Mediterranean Banquet Hall in Philadelphia.
The initiative is promoted by the Association “Ragusani nel Mondo” and its Director Sebastian D'Angelo, in collaboration with the “Siciliani della Pensylvania” and “Alba Sicula” associations.
The young tenor will be accompanied on piano by Peppe Arezzo, artistic director of the event, and by the pianist Amy Stewart.
Lorenzo Licitra has been following a gradual and difficult path devoted to music, his great love. He studied at the conservatory Nicolini in Piacenza and in Milan's La Scala. Lorenzo Licitra has also refined his technique by taking private lessons with the “Great maestro” Carmelo Caruso, the internationally renowned baritone.
"Since I was just a little boy I’ve felt music flowing through my veins. Singing in front of His Holiness John Paul II and in the “Mariele Ventre dell'Antoniano choir' in Ragusa, definitely gave me great satisfaction and gave me the desire to pursue my dream. But to go ahead seriously in this profession, it is important to work hard, to be humble, and to have a family on which to rely, that is why I am always grateful to my family, which always accompanies me along this important path.”
The young tenor was ranked 1st in national pop music competitions and has been a guest in "Io Canto", the television show hosted by Gerry Scotti.
Lorenzo Licitra is a versatile performer, whose repertoire includes folk songs, opera and pop music.
