In Time for Mother's Day - An Italian Way to Celebrate

Perugina invites you to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with a special chocolate class where you will create your very own hand crafted Baci, the enduring symbol of love and romance.
The class wil lbe held at La Scuola di EATALY (200 Fifth Avenue (at 23rd Street) and hosted by non other than the chocolate expert & cookbook author Francine Segan.
Class participants will meet the chocolate expert and class instructor Francine Segan who trained at the legendary Perugina La Scuola del Cioccolato in Perugia.
They will also explore the art of chocolate making in the European tradition and learn about the secret love affair at the heart of Baci's creation.
During the class Baci’s historic connection to St. Valentine will be discussed as the participants gather knowledge about the history of chocolate. The processes of tempering, molding and baking with chocolate will be demystified. Everyone will get to create homemade Baci confections – the perfect gift for Moms and chocolate lovers! The class would not be complete without enjoying a delicious Baci-inspired dessert and taking home new & exciting chocolate recipes.
