While traveling across United States on the back of my motorcycle I had a lot of time to think, to think at all the reasons why I was doing it, how it would connect to my previous projects, my previous photographs, how my America would appear to the audience, and more importantly how it would translate into my senses.

7439 is the number of miles I rode through the country that is home for me now. It kept changing, and it kept surprising me. There is a moment in a photographer’s life when you start connecting the dots, between the past and the future of your language. In some photographers, that moment is every day.
