The fifth Adventure in Italian Opera with Fred Plotkin of this season features Nadine Sierra, the soprano from Florida who, in short order, has achieved great acclaim in the world’s major opera houses. The fickle audience at La Scala demanded an encore at her debut in Rigoletto; she was one of the youngest winners of the Metropolitan Opera National Council award and debuted at the Met as Gilda. She returns this season as Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Ilia in Idomeneo.
