February 25 1991, Albania. The communist regime has collapsed and thousands of people leave their very poor country with boats and ships in search of a better life in Italy. In one of these ships is 6-month-old Aleksandros. This is his story, the story of a son who will grow up far from his country and of a father who will make many sacrifices to raise a child away from the poverty of his country.
