Honoring the centenary of the world premiere of Puccini’s triptych of one-act operas—Il trittico—at the Metropolitan Opera, we celebrate with a one-day event entitled Puccini’s "Trittico" at 100, featuring outstanding experts in the field, special archival videos and photographs, and musical interludes.

Award-winning historian Marcia Gallo (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) will discuss the lives and times of three barrier-breaking women of the sixties: Kitty Genovese, Diane di Prima, Virginia Apuzzo.

Olivia Tursi, M.A. L.C.S.W-R, a psychological counselor at the Calandra Institute, will reflect on personal endeavors as a female psychotherapist and small-business owner through the lens of an Italian American woman; and Trisha Rossi, M.A. L.C.S.W. and adjunct professor at Suffolk County Comm College, will discuss how women are influential in psychotherapy, small businesses, and psychology in higher education, focusing on how being an Italian American woman influenced her professional journey.
